Looking for Guidance?

If you're looking for guidance, you can explore topics like:

  • Choosing your career path in radiation oncology
  • What to expect during residency
  • Developing leadership and communication skills
  • Navigating the match process

Offering Mentorship?

If you're offering mentorship, you'll have the chance to:

  • Share your journey and lessons learned
  • Support and encourage the next generation
  • Build meaningful professional connections
  • Gain fresh perspectives and new energy from emerging professionals

Every mentoring relationship is different — and that's what makes it meaningful. Together, mentors and mentees can set goals, exchange ideas and find direction that fits where they are and where they hope to go.

How Speed Mentoring Works

Speed Mentoring is designed to make it easy for mentees and mentors to connect through short, focused conversations. Each session is an opportunity to ask questions, share advice and build meaningful professional connections.

1
Create Your Profile

Complete your profile so participants can learn more about your background, interests and mentoring goals.

2
Explore Participants

Review available mentors or mentees and identify people whose experience or questions align with your interests.

3
Join Short Sessions

Meet one-on-one in focused 10-minute conversations designed for quick introductions and meaningful guidance.

4
Continue the Connection

Use the conversation as a starting point for future networking, advice and professional growth.

Tips for Mentees

  • Come prepared with two or three specific questions.
  • Share your goals, interests or current challenges briefly.
  • Ask about career paths, training, leadership or professional development.
  • Take notes and follow up after the session when appropriate.

Tips for Mentors

  • Share practical advice based on your own experience.
  • Ask mentees what they hope to get out of the conversation.
  • Offer encouragement, resources or next steps when possible.
  • Help mentees feel comfortable asking questions in a short session.

Reminder: Speed Mentoring sessions are brief by design. A clear question, an open conversation and a willingness to connect can make each 10-minute session valuable.
